After thanking my friends and spending time with loved ones, I took all of August to recover from a heavy head injury. I spent a few hours giving out advice and packing gifts for them. I decided to advance three new projects (business) so I spent late August and early September lecturing and working on my laptop (2017 Mac air) drafting user interfaces and expanding my toolbox. It took me about two weeks of heavy use but I advanced several ideas to a production level.
I learned suddenly on Friday, September 9 of my mothers hospitalization in the IC unit and I spent the week visiting her at the hospital until she passed and was pronounced dead. I had to stop everything and organize our things as not to lose anything important and spent the two weeks after gathering things and running around. I have now handled her finances and await to sell our home in Falls Church, Virginia. It managed to gain equity which means it will be worth more when I sell it than when she bought it. I will have to make some repairs before then. She was a public figure for over 30 years with an enormous cultural fortune and was respected and loved by many, so it is a painful loss for us.
I have decided to purchase a plot of land and have made countless online searches, some phone calls a few visits of which I am proud (including one to the mountains in Virginia). I have been leaning towards a large parcel somewhere isolated, where I can build my own spaces. So far the lead is in the state of Arizona, in the south neighboring the Mexican border and with little vegetation.
