I picked up a few books from barnes an noble this week and it was like traveling to the stars, all the books stared at me and I stared back at them with pride. I love books, and seeing them so familiar charged my spirits.
During quarantine I picked up a comixology membership and saved several hundred to my watchlist. Comics, something I used to do since my childhood but haven't had the chance to do lately. I stumbled upon a newly published series "Spy Family" which I picked up on my trip to B&N, another smaller book: Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun, and two volumes I immediately fell in love with, one from my teenage years and a newer dictionary sized series which reminded me of my teenage years. My friend Karina helped me pick up another volume which I also heard was good "The Promised Neverland". (I decided to take it with me on my adventures)
Note to the authors: The books are stellar and spicy, one of them made me cry and took me on a very nice trip through life. The series Spy Family I used to pick up a girl with and I am still trying to let it go. Toilet bound Hanako feels like a pillow, and the mysterious old man beyond the fence keeps humming demonic songs. I have tons of work and homework so these will be a great starting point. I have also downloaded a cyber-punk series and continue to look for more while the remaining hundreds sit on my shelves.
